The physical base of this project is a four masted steel barque, 157 metres from the tip of the bowsprit to the end of the spanker boom, carrying over 8000 square metres of sailcloth in 31 sails, manned by 65 professional crew and 200 trainees.

 

 

This vessel will be an example of best practice in design, construction, systems integration and operation

FSP21 will be a British registered vessel operated by an UK based agency - but she will sail the world

her range will be 6000 miles and she will see the Pacific and Atlantic oceans as her playground

even at a moderate 8 knots under sail she would do 200 miles per day, every day she is at sea
