PURPOSE

FSP21 - largest most modern square rigged education and adventure training sailing ship in the world

Currently the largest tall ships are Sedov (sail training) at 109m and Royal Clipper (cruising) at 133m

FSP21 will embrace current 21st century success in hull design, rigging, sail making, interior layout and ship construction

Most of this will be of British origin, all of it European

education

a flexible new initiative to reinforce  the  UK education system, a stimulus and a resource for able bodied and disabled students

adventure training

a period of challenging and life changing activity in a proven environment already used throughout the world

square rig, an evolved, proven and variable form of rig, used by navies  throughout the world for cadet training

above all else a sailing ship is 'green'; FSP21 will also be 'zero emission'

in the world

FSP21 will join a worldwide fleet immediately becoming a member of a peaceful international community and a leader in their realm of activity
