The ship will work to a standard merchant navy watch bill system, divided into six four hour watches.

Cadets will be assigned to one of three watch teams; each one could expect to be on watch for 6 to 8 hours each day, with lectures, study, sleep and personal time factored in around this

The standard tall ship watch bill is infinitely variable and time in port will include time ashore, and exchanges with other ships and shore side institutions.

Time in port will also include exhibitions and opportunities for the public to see over the ship. Cadets will act as hosts and guides.

A tall ship cadet is key to the operation of their ship: while standing a watch they steer, keep look out and tend the sails

off watch they work and study, eat and sleep

and because a tall ship is also a home they will clean their ship and help with food preparation
